1. Overview

Union Cargo Logistics ("we", "us", "our") provides air freight, high-value cargo handling, customs clearance and final-mile delivery services. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and safeguard information when you use our website, contact us, or ship cargo with us.

By using our services you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Contact details — name, company, email address, phone number and business address.
  • Shipment data — air waybill numbers, origin and destination, consignee details, commodity description, declared value and weight.
  • Customs data — declarations, invoices, packing lists and any documents required by URA or Dubai Customs.
  • Payment data — billing name, invoice details and transaction records. Card payments are processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website.

3. How we use it

We use the information we collect to:

  • Book, uplift, clear and deliver shipments on your behalf.
  • Provide live tracking and status updates to you and your consignee.
  • File customs and regulatory declarations with the relevant authorities.
  • Raise invoices, process payments and maintain accounting records.
  • Respond to enquiries, provide quotes and support ongoing bookings.
  • Comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, security incidents and misuse of our services.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Sharing & disclosure

We share information only where necessary:

  • Carriers and ground handlers — to move and deliver your cargo.
  • Customs authorities — URA, Dubai Customs and other regulators, as required by law.
  • Payment processors — to settle invoices securely.
  • Professional advisers — auditors, insurers and legal counsel, under confidentiality.
  • Law enforcement — where required by a valid legal request.

All third parties are bound by confidentiality and may only use the data for the purposes we specify.

5. Retention

Shipment, customs and financial records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to satisfy tax and customs obligations. Website analytics data is retained for 24 months. Marketing contact data is retained until you ask us to remove it.

6. Security

We protect your data with a combination of physical, organisational and technical safeguards. These include sealed chain-of-custody procedures for high-value cargo, encrypted transmission over HTTPS, restricted access to systems on a need-to-know basis, and regular review of our security controls.

No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@unioncargologistics.com.

8. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of essential cookies to keep the site functioning (for example, remembering your session). We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.

9. Children

Our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes
